Carrie Turner Lewis has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2016. She is currently serving her fourth term as President and Chair of the Publications Committee. This year she will also serve as a Events Committee Co-Chair. Carrie has been a paralegal for over twenty-five years and spent most of her legal career in Dallas. In 2019, Carrie moved her career back to Waxahachie and is excited to be able to spend more time getting involved in the many events and festivities happening in her hometown!
Carrie is an Escrow Officer at Trinity Abstract & Title Company in downtown Waxahachie and serves as Firm Administrator at the Law Office of Phillip Gilbert, PLLC.
Routed in tradition, Carrie’s family bleeds GREEN thru and thru. She is a proud member of the Class of '84, married to Lee (Class of '83) and is the proud mom of Cassie (Class of '02). As a member of the board, it is her hope to help build a program that will honor all graduates past, present and future. This mission is very dear to her heart as her granddaughters, recent WHS graduate Cidney (Class of 2024) and future WHS graduate Cadynce (Class of 2026) learn the traditions of WISD; while she also honors and recognizes the past led by her father Mike (Class of ‘61) and mother Lou (Class of ‘62) and uncle Joe (Class of '65).

Renee McNeal joined the Board in 2020 and is currently serving as Vice President of the Association.
Renee stays busy these days taking care of the newest member of her family, Destinee Lee, who made her appearance on Christmas Day 2023.
Renee is a 1998 WHS graduate who was a very dedicated and talented volleyball player. Renee is a dedicated advocate of education and has served on the WISD Long Range Planning Committee, which helped create the most beneficial plan for Waxahachie schools and students. Renee’s favorite mantra and approach to life is “The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence.” Renee is a selfless and passionate person. In 2017, Renee was selected as a recipient of the Daily Light’s first 40-Under-40 award. For the past ten years, Renee has volunteered for WISD’s Adopt-a-Class initiative, visiting classrooms to tutor & mentor third-grade students.
Debbie Camarillo Gish joined the Board in 2020 and is currently in her third term as Secretary and will be serving as Co-Chair of the Events Committee this year.
Debbie has been affiliated with WISD for over 30 years both as a teacher and administrator and was recently selected into Waxahachie Ex-Students' Association Who’s Who by her ’84 Classmates. While at WISD, Debbie helped thousands of students graduate to the next level, and she also encouraged her own children to enter the field of education. Debbie volunteered countless hours at WISD events and at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, where she is a member. Since retiring from WISD in 2019, Debbie has enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Debbie is a dedicated individual that wants to continue giving back to WISD by serving on this Board.
Cindy Turner Smith has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2014 and is currently serving her seventh year as Association's Treasurer. Cindy is a 1980 graduate of WHS, graduated with honors from SMU's Southwestern School of Banking and is serving in her 44th year with CNB of Texas, holding the position of Executive Vice President.
In 2022, Cindy was named as Waxahachie’s Outstanding Citizen of the Year. The list of Cindy's community commitments is long and includes board tenures with Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce, the Waxahachie Foundation, United Way, WISD Education Foundation, WISD Partners in Education, YMCA, Special Olympics and many other civic acts of goodwill.

Carolyn Roberts Jenkins is a member of the WHS Class of 1960 and has been a member of the Board of Directors for over 20 years.
Carolyn is a vital part of the Ex-Students' Association and her knowledge of Waxahachie Alumni is matched by no others.
Carolyn has owned and operated The Hair House since 1975.
Carolyn's brother Billy was a member of the Class of '59. Both of Carolyn's children graduated from WHS; Patsy a member of the Class of '80 and Scott with the Class of '83.
Carolyn has watched the involvement within the Association grow over the last few years and is excited to see what else is to come for our Alumni.
Terry Connor has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2017.
Terry is a 1967 WHS graduate and was a member of the 1967 state semi-finalist basketball team that was inducted into the WHS Alumni Association Athletic Hall of Fame. He attended NTSU (now University of North Texas), and was a member of the NTSU basketball team. He served in the US Army and is a Vietnam Veteran.
Terry currently owns Connor Benefits and has been in the employee benefits arena since 1973. Terry is the proud dad of Nicholas. He has two grandsons, Jonathan and Grayson, of whom he is equally proud.
Terry is an advocate for all things related to helping the youth of the community whether it be sports or academics. He is currently serving as Chairman of the Park Board for the City of Waxahachie.
Dolly Garoutte Clemmons joined the Board in 2019 and currently serves as Vice President and is on the Scholarship, Homecoming and Athletic Hall of Fame committees. Dolly has deep roots in Waxahachie and is a WHS graduate of the Class of 1980. She is proud to have many family members who are WHS alumni and grandchildren who currently attend Waxahachie schools.
Dolly is honored to give back to WISD by serving on the board of this important organization.
Johnna McCutchen Dorsett joined the Board in 2022.

Davi Bryce joined the Board in 2022.
Both of my parents and their siblings attended Waxahachie schools. I graduated from WHS in 1990. I am married to Jerry Bryce and we have 2 children, Jacob, class of 2018 Global High, and McKensi class of 2020 WHS.
We are three generations strong of WISD graduates!
Stephanie joined the Board in 2025.

Kim Volentine Gerich is a proud member of the Class of 2004 and is serving on the Board of Directors for the second time.
Her roots run deep in Waxahachie and is proud to say that she has several family members that are WHS Alumni.
Kim has been married to her husband Shaun since 2012 and they just welcomed their first baby, Corrie Lynn Gerich, in July 2024!
